Beach Hike Photos (One)

Hey all! I've been quite busy with everything about this page except the posting part, lol. I've added a couple new SideBar gadgets and even a page on Facebook! (I hope the extras don't slow down any of your browsers, if it does, please post something in the "Contact Me" page)
Speaking of Facebook, I added a bunch of new pics on there that I hadn't yet here, so this post is one a few that are going to fix that (minus the Facebook exclusive pics). Enjoy!

Most of these photos were taken on a hike along the beach some time in 2009. They look like dunes because they are, lol. It's pretty awesome to see dunes and ocean in the same shot. I've also been getting better at placing my watermarks, lol.

^This picture was not on that hike, but it is the same beach^

Ocean Spray

The footprints add to the effect, no?

If anyone wants to see them, I have a few just-desert shots that I could show upon request

Paradise Beach (actual name)

Thank you for visiting my blog! Please Comment!

  1. I love the brightness of those pictures.. maybe you should change the background of your blog... looks kinda gloomy to me. :)

  2. I love 'ocean spray', and the way you did your watermark looks like it's written in the sand.
    Keep up the good work!

  3. Very true Zach, I'll have to look into that. My sidebar is also tough to read.

Thanks Quad! I've been working on my watermarks a lot! My next post will have some more unique ones as well as a semi-transparent one that I just learned how to make.

  5. Wow. Like I said, I LOVE WATER PHOTOS. I think the one you named Ocean Spray is my favourite one. :)The force of the water hitting the rock had to be awesome to witness. [Coming from one who longs very much to go to the beach, but has never been there, mind you. I am just dreaming here from movies and photos. :)] It is full of so much life and power, and I love that. :)
[Can you tell I'm a writer [and a photographer] yet? :P]
Very lovely photos. I will certainly be coming back to look again. Thank you so much for sharing this with me. I love your photos. :)

  6. I have to disagree with Zachary - I like the background. :) The black just makes it a little darker... methinks. Only methinks. :)

  7. *sigh* I miss the ocean, having been there only twice, once when I was little and the other time more recently, but it was still great each time. You should try turning the first picture to black & white I bet it would make it look really cool, not that I’m saying by any means that it doesn't look cool already, it was just a thought. :) And actually I didn't even notice the background change until it was mentioned, but I still think it looks fine.

  8. Thank you ruby! Black and white is not my strong point so I'm glad of your suggestion. :-)
and the background hasn't changed yet, but Zach had suggested a change and I may change the colors a little.....we'll see. ;-)

Thanks for visiting my blog Rachel! You live so close to the beach (your country is quite small!) yet you haven't taken a road trip? I bet Coasta Rica has plenty of nice shots on the beach too!
