I like this angle, but yeah, the focus is kinda off.
Here you see one's before they are blooming.
This is from my second time trying. The flower doesn't look bad, but it's a little small an doesn't appear to be the main focus. I love the leaves in the bottom left corner though! They make an awesome border.
Things learned: The middle of the day is not the best time of day for taking shots of these flowers.
Those are great, but then, I already told you that on facebook! :) awesome job.

Those are really gorgeous flowers. I bet they smell heavenly. And I dont know what you're talking about "unfocused" I think they are great pictures. I like the first picture the best and how the farther away are a little out of focus, because it makes the ones to the front stand out even more. :)

ReplyDeleteNo, PSE does have noise removal, but I don't really like using it a lot because I think it tends to leave everything less sharp after using it....
Just curious -- which relative are you talking about? Are you one of Denise T.'s kids? How did you find my blog?

In reply to your comment on my before and after post --- Yeah, it was fairly bright -- more than I'd usually do, but since I was getting rid of the shadows, it was really the only way.... Obviously it wasn't the ideal photo to edit... lol. I'm not quite sure what you mean about stock photos.

ReplyDeleteI know how it is using a basic compact camera. As you might've seen on my blog, my camera (it was a bridge camera -- still a point and shoot, but had manual mode, etc) died in July, so now I'm just stuck with my mom's P&S. As a result I'm not taking photos anymore, but I do a ton of editing!
Yeah, I get what you're saying about stock photos. But like I said, it wasn't the ideal photo. lol

ReplyDeleteYeah, not having your own computer can be pretty frustrating at times... I don't actually have my own (my header is misleading...) but I usually don't have to wait too long if someone else is on it. As for being in the mood --- I'm always in the mood for editing. :-D

Well, I haven't used Paint Shop Pro for quite a while, so I'm not really sure if I can answer that... When she first gave it to us I used it mostly for designing blog backgrounds, and a couple editing things that I didn't know how to do in PSE (that's when we had pse 2). But now that I have PSE 9, I don't use any other programs.
